Anamnesia

Anamnesia is a multimedia agency in Strasbourg, France with a very specific niche conceiving and creating interactive multimedia installations for museums, exhibitions, and cultural events.

At the time of this work, Anamnesia was beginning a redesign of it’s web site, replacing what was originally an all-Flash site with something more conventional (standards-based) and maintainable (CMS-managed). I came in under a three-week internship arrangement in Spring 2006 (second of two internships in French businesses; see also Polymix work) and did the front-end development for what was the expected design at the time; reminiscent of what you see in the image below.

Deliverables

  • Seven templates representing each top level section of the expected site. All standards-based, and with hooks for integrating PHP scripting.
  • sIFR integration to allow graphic headings.
  • Metadata handling for improved search engine referencing.

Status

Alas, the work never went live. At some point after my internship was over, the graphic concepts completely changed and thus my front-end development along with it. Great bunch of folks to work with though, and their market niche is truly interesting and unique.
