Wion Maroc Theme
Wion is the site you are at right now. The current design is called Maroc (the French word for Morocco), and is the third design of Wion since 2004. It’s continuously being tweaked, but the changes are subtle, not radical. I tend to favor designs that are not too graphics heavy, but rather use text as much as imagery for presentation. Whether I’ve succeeded here with that, I don’t know, but I like where it’s going.
Past Designs
The first design version of Wion, called Stone Lion, was considerably different and during pre-Textpattern days; simply a set of static Web pages that I still have and love, the visual theme in particular. I’m thinking of creating a Stone Lion theme for Textpattern, but that’s still up in the air.
I did not keep a copy of the second design version of Wion, but it was not something I was particularly fond of. The current design largely branched from version two’s core markup and styles, but has evolved into something considerably different and refined since then.
